As law enforcement partners in the Operation Zero Tolerance DUI campaign, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office conducts mobilizations throughout the year in coordination with Governor's Office of Highway Safety year-round waves of high visibility patrols, multi-jurisdictional road checks and sobriety checkpoints.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is one of 17 law enforcement agencies in Georgia who have come together to create H.E.A.T — Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic — to combat impaired and aggressive drivers. The goal of the H.E.A.T. program is to combat crashes, injuries and fatalities caused by impaired driving and speeding, while also increasing seatbelt use and educating the public about traffic safety and the dangers of DUI.
Coupled with routine patrols by the Sheriff's Office and State Patrol, this team can bring heat on drunk drivers at any given time, day of night. But that's not all ... a Georgia State Parol Nighthawks DUI Task Force prowls the roads of Middle Georgia. This task force focuses its enforcement on impaired driving in Macon and Columbus. Nighthawks Middle Georgia DUI Task Force is assigned six troopers. All of the Nighthawks DUI Task Force troopers are law enforcement officers that specialized in DUI enforcement.
Just as these highly-skilled specialists chase down and arrest suspected drunk drivers, Macon DUI attorney Elmer (Pete) Young is highly-trained and specializes in Intense Defense for DUI clients in the Macon area.
Mr. Young’s success in obtaining non-DUI dispositions in his DUI cases has earned him the respect of his peers and clients alike.
